Metalworking Fluids

Metalworking fluids are used in machining operations to smooth cutting tasks, extend tool life, and keep equipment clean. Cutting fluids cool, lubricate, and prevent damage to machinery, tools, or workpieces. Metalworking fluid additives mix with coolant system lubricants, oils, or coolants to improve fluid life and reduce machine maintenance. Layout fluids reduce glare and create contrasting backgrounds showing scribed workpiece lines during machining. Cutting tool cleaners remove lubricants, grease, and coolants from cutting tools, and clean and degrease work areas and tools. Machine tool sump cleaners remove impurities between fluid changes to speed cleaning. Electrical-discharge machining fluids conduct an electrical charge between an electrode and a workpiece submerged in the fluid to create highly accurate, precise cuts on workpieces.
