Lock calibration

Lock Tag Out (LOTO) devices are installed on mechanical, electrical equipment, and piping systems to reduce the risk of injury caused by accidental start-up during maintenance. They are an important component of the entire program, designed to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Hazardous Energy Control (Lock Tag) standards in the United States. Lock padlocks can prevent accidental removal of lock devices. Some LOTO devices are suitable for specific equipment such as valves, steering wheels, pipe flanges, and gas cylinders. Cable locks can lock multiple energy sources and flexibly wrap around devices that are difficult to lock, such as handles and gate valves. When multiple people are simultaneously inspecting equipment, lock buckles and collective lock boxes will be used. The tag is installed on the padlock to indicate that the equipment has been locked and to label the lock owner. The supporting site and toolkit include dedicated storage containers for centralized storage of equipment.
